August 16, 2011

The Wavelengths blog is a great place for our team at MarketWave to post about and discuss hot marketing topics. Occasionally, we also like to post some client news and work that we’re proud to be a part of.The Biggest Energy Saver campaign is an initiative that [client] Oncor and other partners are taking to help Texas electric customers get to know their smart meters and the data they provide. The data, which is basically daily KWH consumption read from your meter in 15-minute increments, can help consumers sustainably reduce their electric consumption during peak hours, possibly saving themselves money or qualifying them for incentives.

Launched on August 1 and running through September 30, the Biggest Energy Saver contest is one component of the campaign that encourages customers to register and use either www.smartmetertexas.com or the applications on www.biggestenergysaver.comto reduce their electric consumption over a 60-day period for a chance to win a new Chevy Volt, GE Energy Star Appliances and more.
